This mattress was shipped and received fast! It unrolled and stretched out to it's full size quickly... We slept on it the same night it arrived and it was a true 12 inches. The plastic/packing smell was not overwhelming, and I'm usually pretty sensitive to these types of things, and has almost completely disappeared in a short time.On EVERY other mattress I have owned before this one I have felt pain & pressurein my neck, shoulders and hips within minutes of situating myself into a comfortable sleeping position... This mattress feels WONDERFUL the second I lay on it and all through the night. There is a significant amount of improvement in motion-transfer between this mattress and my old spring mattress. Also, my boyfriend is a lot bigger that me and I am rather small framed sothere has always been a lot of "droopage" toward his side of the bed where I kind of rolled into him throughout the night (haha) and that is not the case with this mattress... I feel like I'm propped up on my own little cushion (and he loves it too). We are both light sleepers and it helps to not be stirred awake by each others tossing and turning. This mattress is also nice and cool and not sticky/stuffy like I would think foam would be... That is VERY important here in Texas!!!
All-and-all, this is a much needed improvement over an old spring mattress but way more easy and affordable than the other, more commercial options we are all familiar with. I would DEFINITELY recommend this mattress to ANYONE!!! BUY IT!!!!!:)
