Chenille Sofa Decorative Throw Review

I actually received as a gift, as I was in need of a comfortable throw blanket for lounging around the house.The throw is indeed soft, but I have two major issues.The first is that the item, once unsealed from its plastic wrapper, has a strange "packaging" odor.In surveying prior reviews I noticed that someone recommended washing with detergent (but beware, do NOT dry in dryer).I washed as instructed, and while this helped, the blanket has retained a slight odor, which has appeared to dissipate with time.The second issue is that the overall quality of the throw seems poor.It's quite fragile, and likely to become unraveled with time.For these reasons, I would suggest finding another chenille blanket, or spending extra money to get a better quality product.
