This zafu cushion is both beautiful and comfortable!It makes me feel a bit like I'm being transported to a beautiful Asian country with the red satin-type fabric and embroidered golden and black dragonflies. The fabric is slippery enough that you can adjust your sitting position easily, but not so slippery that you feel like you will slide off. I do recommend that you spend the time necessary to adjust the buckwheat hull filling.I removed at least two full quart-sized snap-and-seal bags of hulls before the zafu was a comfortable fullness (or squishiness).The cushion expands in diameter and lowers in height as you remove the hulls.
