I should have known better than to order something that had NO prior reviews on it.The pillows are super soft, which is fine, except your head completely sinks to the mattress when you lie on the pillow, and the sides of the pillow then fluff up so much as to cover your ears.It's the goofiest thing.So you may think, why doesn't he double the pillows up...?Well, when I did that, my head still sunk almost down the the mattress, and it was crazy how the sides of the pillows puffed up to the top of my head.

Finally gave up and went to JC Penny's, squeezed and poked pillows until I found a soft one with support....

Pike Street 280-Thread-Count Damask Stripe Cotton Down Pillow Review

This pillow is too soft for me.I don't see how anyone could use it.I understood before ordering that it was soft, but it's just about as fluffy as two (very luxurious, well-made) sheets sewn together.It feels as if it contains some nice down, and will fluff when suspended in air, but not nearly as much as the picture portrays.I love the quality of the outside, and I am a stomach sleeper (soft recommended), but this is just too little stuffing to be of use to me.I decided against returning it, because shipping and hassle would negate the refund, so I'll just offer it to roommates and guests, maybe as an additional pillow.

Pacific Coast Touch of Down Super Standard Pillow - Featured in Many Hilton Hotels and Resorts Review

This is a good down pillow at a great price. I bought my first down pillow over 10 years ago after a lot of testing. No, it wasn't this one -- but it also was three times the price of this one.

When we got our Tempurpedic bed, I switched to the Tempurpedic pillow for a couple of years. But I wasn't able to lay on my side as much because I couldn't breathe as well. So I kept my eyes open for a good lower-priced down pillow.

I stayed at several Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn hotels that featured the Touch-of-Down pillow sets. Several times this pillow stuck out as my favorite. On one trip I wrote down the details to check into it later. But I couldn't wait so I ordered it while I was at the hotel.

I'm liking it. For an across-the-board comparison it would only get 4 stars compared to my earlier 5 star down pillow. But at one-third the price, it's a 5 star in its own right.

It is basically a pillow within a pillow, but only occasionally can I tell that. The inner section gives a little more support, but I don't know that I need it myself.

The only downside was that I had to buy the protective cover separately -- on my earlier more expensive down pillow it came stock with the pillow -- which was probably another reason it was more expensive.

If you really want to try out some pillows (down, synthetic, and mixed) try one of the Hilton hotels with the Touch-of-Down program. My visits have been on business trips, but they could be romantic nights out or any other reason. It's kinda like renting a car to try it before actually forking over the money -- a worthwhile expense.

St. Cloud White Down Pillow Review

I am so disappointed in this product!Nowhere in the description does it state that these pillows are 95% feathers and only 5% down. While they arrived quickly, and appear to be well made, they are not what the product description said, which is that they are down!.And the reviews also said nothing about not being all down,I am hoping the company will take them back, if not they will go to Goodwill.This is my first bad product from Amazon.I hope I can get my money back.

I've tried a number of pillows trying to find something that reminded me of the pillows I had as a kid.You know, soft pillows that would stay cool for more than 30 seconds.I first encountered these pillows when staying at a Hilton.They were amazing!I later ordered what I thought was the equivalent.Wrong pillow.It was okay, and better than what I had been using, but not the wonderful one at the hotel.I went back there recently and this time made certain the brand, model, etc.It was this one, and when I got it home and lay on it I knew I had finally found what I was looking for.Its firm without being hard, and yet nice and soft on the face.It also holds its cool temp for a good long while.If this sounds like the type of pillow you like, then you should like this one.

Arctica Down Pillow Review

i ordered the pair about 3 wks ago...and i am somewhat dissapointed..i love down bedding,but these pillows are not very fluffy,another words not enough feathers to make it nice and thick..i have more down pillows and they are much puffier,however if you are a "tummy" sleeper this might be perfect for you...they do fluff up after a few shakes,but will flatten out quickly once you rest your head on it..for the price i could have done much better.

That's enough to keep you up at nights. But while the lowly pillow is one of the most important keys to sleeping well, finding the right replacement for you is a personal matter and no one product will appeal to everyone. Buying one sight unseen, or unfelt, seems a little risky.
