Ewins St. Thomas Premium Poly Hammock - Taupe Review

Well, we bought that brand new, good lucking hammock but weren't sure about the quality. So we decided to make a strict quality test. First, my 8-months-pregnant wife and me jumped in from each side. It was a little bit difficult to stabilize the situation avoiding to hurt her at the same time. But after 5 minutes we got it. We found no sign of danger. Then we put an additional person in the hammock: my also-but-only-6-months-pregnat sister-in-law. I wouldn't say she is fat, but it was a real challenge for the hammock. And it held. At this point I thought it wasn't necessary to increase the risk, but the big boyfriend of my sister-in-law climbed up to us... So, I broke my leg, the other guy broke his wrist, the girls got some bruises, but no premature birth. And the most relevant thing for our test: the hammock remained intact. We only had to replant one of the palm trees in the yard.

Ewins St. Thomas Premium Poly Hammock - Resort Red Review

This hammock is very comfortable and easily holds two people. I would have given it a higher rating except the RED color bleaches fairly quickly in the sunshine. We had the hammock handing under a large maple tree where it spent half the day shaded and half in direct sun. The 'pillow' side of the hammock is now a faded pink while the underside is still bright red.

I should also note the pillow! Not only is it comfortable, but it is buttoned onto the hammock so it never falls off.

Having previously bought two person rope hammocks, I would like to note some things for your consideration if you have never before bought a 'solid' hammock such as this... (1) CON: You don't realize how often birds relieve themselves around a hammock until you have a solid hammock which doesn't allow the material to pass through (2) CON: Fading - as mentioned above, the hammock will fade if left in the sun. (3) PRO: mosquitoes can bite you from the underside of a rope hammock, but your bottom is safe in a solid hammock (4) CON: A solid hammock will act as a giant sail if left hanging in the wind (5) PRO: Did I mention it is comfortable? (6) PRO: A solid hammock does not 'stretch out' over time as much as a rope hammock

Overall, I am very pleased with this hammock! In hindsight I would have gone with a more neutral color which would have faded in a more subtle way than the red, but I am still happy with this hammock.

Bay Hammock All-American Soft-Spun Olefin (Synthetic) Single Rope Hammock w/ Pillow (48" x 84") Review

First off nowhere in the description does it say you DON'T get the stand th hammock is on or lead you to believe it doesn't come included. Also I had no pillow in my package as described in the description. Drink holder? hat drik holder? The ground I assume. Don't waste your money on this piece of junk.

I've had this for about 3 years and it's still in great condition and was easy to assemble. I might be buying another hammock because mine has been out in the elements for 3 years and the finish has come off the wood and the fabric is mildewy but that's prob my fault. The stand is great and has no rust.

I had anticipated a very comfortable hammock from it's discription and once you get onto the hammock it is.The problem is getting on the hammock, and it happened to 2 other people at my home, it is very slippery and as you go to sit on it it slips out from under you.It also seems to stretch and even though it is waiste high before getting onto it, it is almost to the ground after lying on it.I am 5'5" tall and weigh 123lbs. so it can't be a weight issue!I will keep trying and see if there is some adjustment that can be made.
