1000-Thread-Count Egyptian Cotton 1000TC Sheet Set, Olympic Queen, White Solid 1000 TC Review

I've been sleeping on 1000+ thread count sheets exclusively for 2 years now.Every single set I have has been purchased via Amazon.Com.So, sight unseen, I trust that product descriptions are accurate, and I've always been happy with my purchases.Until now.

There is no WAY that these sheets are 1000 thread count!Actually, they're sold as 1000 tc, but the card inside the package says they're 1200 tc.The tag on the sheets themselves, however, says only "100% Egyptian Cotton".No manufacturer, no clue as to thread count, totally generic.Nothing.

These sheets are flimsy, scratchy, and entirely below my expectations.The closest comparison I can find is to liken them to cheap hospital sheets.Or possibly 200 thread count sheets like what you can find at Kmart.They're really that thin!

I slept on them uncomfortably for one night, then washed them with lots of fabric softener and tried to put them on my bed again.No dice.They're horrible and I can't stand the feel of them on my skin. And on visual analysis, compared to the 1000 tc sheets I already own?They're FAR substandard.

I would send them back, but after all that I've done to them to try to get what I paid for, I don't know that the company would even accept them.So I've decided to save them for *that* time of the month (so it won't matter if they get stained) and/or guests (although I'm not sure if I even want to subject my guests to their rough, scratchy texture.)

I will never buy from this company again, and I suggest that you learn from my negative experience and do the same.There are many bedding retailers on Amazon who actually deliver the high quality that they promise.

I give them 2 stars instead of 1 only because 1: They arrived relatively quickly, so the shipping is fast.And 2: They're BIG and have LOTS of room for thick mattresses and to allow me to wash on hot with bleach if I need to without worrying about shrinkage~which is usually a worry with high thread count sheets.

Even with those allowances though...I'm utterly disappointed and I'll never buy from this company again.

These are beautiful sheets and they are ultra luxurious to lay on when first out of the packaging.They make you feel like you are sleeping on a cloud.My only complaint is in the sizing. These sheets are advertised as being for a "Queen" bed.I have a standard queen sized bed and the fitted sheet almost looks like it's King sized when I put it on!It rumples, crinkles and folds underneath you every time you roll over in bed.I'm hoping that once washed, the sheet will "shrink" down to Queen size.The pillowcases, shams, flat sheet & duvet cover were all perfect.
I will definitely buy these sheets (in a different colour) again.

Renaissance 600 Thread Count 100% Cotton Sateen Sheet Set Review

These sheets are smooth and comfortable; however, the fabric is thick and substantial, so if you like your sheets cuddly-soft, maybe you won't care for these.I'm one of those people who can't stand to have wrinkles and folds under my feet, so I've fallen in love with them; the fabric will hold up all week without getting stretched, loose, and tangly.I do wish they had done an extra row of stitching on the elastic of the fitted sheet, but at this price I suppose you can't have everything--and if it becomes necessary, I do have a needle-----somewhere-----I think.

I like the café color very much--it's a rich gold, deeper and not as yellow as the golds of yesteryear.The sheets launder well; if you take them out of the dryer promptly and iron just the top hem (Iron an entire sheet? I don't think so.), the whole set looks smooth and inviting.

So I'm very pleased.Now if I could just get my husband to let me tuck in the sheets at the bottom of his side of the bed, life would be good.
