I bought these along with the same color/type of duvet cover. I wash them with bleach when I do laundry, but I can start to see the pillow covers are getting ever so slightly off-color from my regular nightly sweats / drooling / what-have-you. The duvet cover has stayed bone white. White pillow cases are good if you don't have a white blanket to compare them to.

I have tried many different waterproof bedding products over the years. Technically they say it's water resistant. Every water barrier product I have tried can leak at the seams so be warned about that. This fabric is so soft and comfortable that I have slept on it without a pillowcase. I tested it's water resistance. It came through with flying colors with only the vulnerability on the seams. Worth every penny to provide a clean hygienic sleeping surface and protect your bed from spills, kids or pets.

These are terrific pillows, good material and well made.However, if I had it to do over again, I'd have bought the extra firm pillows instead.These aren't as firm as I expected. If you want a really firm pillow, I suggest you go with the extra firm intead.
