I have no experience with down pillows because I live in Florida so this was my first. The pillow shipped flat in a re-usable plastic case that I can use for other things, like sheets and pillowcases. The pillow itself was squashed nearly flat but fluffed up right away and held it's shape thereafter. The casing is good quality fabric, very thick, and the pillow itself is very warm and comfortable. This was a great experience :) I detected no sharp feathers or other bits through the fabric of the casing. The pillow was also not so warm that it was uncomfortable. I look forward to enjoying this for many years :)

The NeckPillow by Tempur-Pedic Medium 20" x 12" x 4" Review

I purchased my pillow from Brookstone over 9 years ago. I needed it for the neck support. My pillow has held up for all these years with no problem. The material in this pillow works with the heat from your body to mold to the shape of your body. If you like to sleep on a cold pillow, this pillow is not for you. I recently purchased a new tempur-pedic thinking that the new pillow will have more support as this material over time degrades and will not bounce back into shape as quickly.

I found that the new pillows are not as firm as mine was when I first purchased it. I had to return the pillow since my 9-year-old pillow is firmer than the new ones they have out under the same name. Remember if you do not like a HOT pillow this will not work for you, as the heat from your body will make it feel very warm. I sleep with a fan on me all night anyway so this does not effect me but family members have tried to use the pillow to try it out and found the pillow got to hot for them to use.

Overall I love my pillow and panic if I happen to forget it when I go out of town. If you have neck problems (mine are from an accident) this pillow can certainly help.

One major complaint is that the pillow case covers they sell (very expensive) do NOT fit the pillow. It is not designed to fit the pillow even though they advertise that it is a custom pillow cover. A better solution is to just use a regular pillowcase or a pillow sham. Brookstone should be ashamed to sell these pillow covers as they do NOT fit - they are at least 5 inches longer than the pillow which causes you to constantly adjust the pillow case so as not to get wrinkles on your face or to prevent lumps under your head while sleeping.

Comfort Impressions Twin Pack Memory Cluster Pillows Review

This pillows are great if you're like me and sleep on your side. They keep their shape very well and the cases are smooth and comfortable too.

The only problem I have is the zipper. Why on earth would you put a zipper on a pillowcase? It wraps around 2 sides of it, so it's kind of hard to miss and I end up flipping the pillow about 4 or 5 times before I get it into a position where my head isn't touching it. Nothing worse than waking up with a zipper sticking into your cheek!

Other than that, these pillows is worth buying. If you can't deal with the zipper, you could always buy another pillowcase for them. Too bad though, these would be really nice pillowcases if they would've just made them open-ended or even Velcro or something like that.

The pillow does NOT have organic cotton fill. It specifically states on the package (when I received it), that the cover is organic cotton, but the fill is natural cotton (big difference to some). If this is important to you, then I wouldn't suggest buying the pillow. The pillow is very firm, but I really like that about it. It doesn't go completely flat when you lay your head on it. Occasionally I have to flip the pillow over because it gets a little stiff in spots if you don't flip it regularly. I do love the pillow, but I gave it 3 stars because the listing is untrue.

Wedge Pillow for Acid Reflux Review

I have severe reflux (GERD) and got the pillow several weeks ago to help myself sleep at night.

I was worried that it would be hard to sleep on, and seven inches tall seemed like a bit of a slant.But, it is made of a quite compressible hypoallergenic polyureathane foam that compresses down from seven inches to perhaps four when you are resting on it, and I had a good night's sleep, even the first night.The soft material is very comfortable, and my reflux is vastly improved.Having used it for several weeks, I don't expect to ever go back to a regular pillow.

Unfortunately, the pillow had a strong polyureathane chemical smell when it showed up.The smell was strong enough that it was unuseable.I brought it to bed briefly, but my wife insisted that I get it out of her bed, and I agreed.

The next day I washed the polyureathane foam in the bathtub with mild soap and water and wrung it out with my hands as best as I could.You can't machine dry polyureathane (it disintegrates), so I left it outside in the 85 degree California sun.After two days, I could still wring water out of it -- it wasn't getting dry.I then covered it with beach towels, and rolled it up tight using my knees.After repeating this three times with dry towels, it was noticeably lighter (less water trapped inside).I let it air dry for another day and called it done.

That did the trick, and now I use the pillow every night.

It is a very comfortable pillow and has solved my reflux issues.I am glad to have it, I just wish it was useable right out of the box.

Edit: MedSlant contacted me when they heard of the difficulties I had.They offered to send me a new pillow and expressed surprise -- they have had less than 10 complaints about odor in their 3 years of selling these pillows.I turned down the new pillow (mine smells fine now) and thanked them.Then they refunded my purchase (I never even asked!).They were very polite and I could not ask for a better customer support experience!

I purchased three of these covers for protecting my four year old son's pillows, in case of night time bed wetting accidents.I own the twin mattress version of this product but have not ever tested it by purposely wetting it to see if it truly is waterproof.Last night my son had a bed accident and when he woke up I could see that the pillowcase was wet.Surprisingly when I took the pillow protector off to launder it (for the first time - I've only had it for two weeks) the pillow itself was wet too.Perhaps this is a waterproof product when the wetness is left on for a short period of time, but it definitely isn't when the wetness is there for several hours.I'm pretty disappointed about this and will be contacting the manufacturer to see what they can do about their claims.I'll be updating here when I get more information.

Contour CPAP Multi-Mask Sleep Aid Pillow Review

I use the full face mask shown in the picture in the Amazon ad.
Unfortunately, due to the design of this pillow, the upper mask clip is wedged between the pillow and the side of the head in use. There is a lot of discomfort and because of the side pressure on the mask, a lot of leaks. I tried it for two nights and gave up because I couldn't sleep more than a half hour at a time without having to shift position to ease the discomfort or stop a leak.

According to the company's return policy, hygiene law prohibit them accepting returns or giving refunds on pillows.

This product is unusable and I'm out $50.

Makura Buckwheat Hull Pillow Review

The product description claims that this pillow is 100% organic.However, the product box makes no mention that any part of it is organic.In fact since this product was made in China it was required to be fumigated before it entered the US market.The one I ordered reeked of chemicals.Definately NOT organic.

Also, the product description claims that the case is durable natural cotton lining.However it is actually a very thin polyester lining that does not appear durable at all.

I returned this pillow since it did not match the product description.

Inflatable travel pillow Neck Rest Support Cushion Review

I can only report on these pillows based on first testing -- our trip is not for two more months.But having traveled a lot and tried these pillow at home, I'm happy to recommend THIS particular set for two reasons: 1) it's comfortable and 2) the low cost.

I read a number of reviews of various travel pillows (especially the inflatible ones) and was put off primarily because of the short life they seem to have for the rather high cost.This pillow set is 2 for $9.95 -- it's too bad Amazon no longer has them in stock at the time of this review.For $5 each, I was happy to try it.Having received it, I found them to be as comfortable as any lined plastic product could be expected.There is a thin "plush" surface (not just cold plastic) and a "cuff" around the neck that protects from the plastic seams.My wife also tried them and found them comfortable.As with any other inflatable pillow, don't over-inflate.You want your head to nestle and be supported side-to-side.The size was fine for my 16 1/2" neck and I could also wrap both hands inside next to my neck so it will handle larger sizes.My wife's neck is much smaller, but she has not trouble.

As I say, I can't speak to longevity or use for hours in a plane.If Amazon has restocked in late April, I'll add further comments.

I have had neck pain and headaches every day for years due to disc compression, but it's gone now that I'm using this pillow !The foam support insert keeps my neck arched all night and has eliminated my disc issue.Granted it's not the most comfy pillow to the touch, but the cozy ones just didn't give me enough support. I am using the "soft" setting when I fill the pillow. The product itself is OK.I like the hidden zipper.I ordered the lavender and it was more pink than lavender.I also ordered two and was only sent one.Through email, they said they had sent another.After a week I still had not received the other pillow case.I put in a call to customer service.They didn't even answer with the company name or identify themselves.The CSR was very rude and told me I had given them the wrong order number and my pillow case was shipped to Alabama.I live in San Diego.She almost in essence, was not going to resend the product because they were blaming me for giving them the wrong order number.At the time I was talking to the CSR, I didn't have my packing slip so I thought maybe I had transposed a number, but that still didn't mean they shouldn't send me what I had paid for.She told me they sent out the product and I was the one in the wrong for giving them the wrong order number.She came extremely close to telling me I wasn't going to get the other pillow case.
I said " So that means you are not going to send me what I paid for?"Then she replied, " I will send it out but in the future you need to make sure you give the right order number."Basically not taking any responsibility for checking to see that names and order numbers match up.
Well, I went and found my packing slip and I had given them the order number that was on my slip, which happened to be exactly what I said it was when I contacted them in the first place.So I called her back, again, no hello this is Shop Satin my name is _____________, how can I help you, just a hello.I stated that I had just spoken to her and that I found my slip and I had given them the number that was on my slip.Then she curtly said, "Oh, I guess the mistake was ours.I will send out another pillow case today."
So, basically, these people are scammers.They don't send your full order, then make it seem like your fault and make up something to cover their tracks while trying not to send you the product you ordered.I obviously would not recommend them and will never be ordering from them again.Also, shipping is slow, slow, slow.Find another place to buy a comparable product.

Simmons Beautyrest Memory Foam Standard Pillow Review

I purchased this pillow about 6 months ago and absolutely love it. Due to health problems, I spend 18-20 hours a day in bed and having a comfortable bed is not a luxury but a necessity for me.

I'm back to order a few more because I have to cushion my knees by putting a pillow between them and one night I decided to try my Simmons Memory Foam pillow. It was the perfect cushioning for them and the soft cover felt so good! But then I was left not having the pillow to sleep on. I have an old neck injury and the pillow I use determines whether or not I sleep well.

My husband discovered the pillow not too long ago and really liked sleeping on it. That left me feeling very guilty because I let him use it.

And then there's our dogs...We have a pile of pillows on our bed but somehow they find this pillow and become very stubborn when I try to get them off of it.

I figure ordering another 3-4 of these should take care of all who enjoy it so much.

Todays Mom Cozy Comfort Pregnancy Pillow Review

Let me say that this pillow has been a god-send to me!From the very early weeks of my pregnancy, I have been experiencing fairly severe hip pain after I wake up.I tried putting a traditional body pillow in between my legs at night to relieve the pain, but it didn't help.I still ended up turning over 4 or 5 times every night because my hips were hurting so badly.I finally gave in at about 7 months and bought this pillow.I wish I would have had it all along! Here is what I love about it:

1. It contours to my body very well, so my belly is supported at all times.
2. If I do turn over to sleep on my other side, I don't have to turn the pillow too because it wraps all the way around me!
3. I have not had any hip pain since I started sleeping with this pillow.I used to ache for at least an hour after waking up and even limped sometimes because the pain was so bad.Now, I wake up feeling great!
4. It is not as big as it looks in the pictures.I am 5'8" and it fits me fine.I thought it would be way too big and take up my whole bed, but it doesn't.My husband and I have a queen size bed and we can both sleep comfortably without the pillow getting in his way.

I would recommend this product to any pregnant woman.I know you will sleep well with it!

This pillow has saved me from pregnancy discomfort.I started out with the numbness in the hips while sleeping.While I still get occasional numbness, it is very rare.Definitely more comfortable nights than not.It also is great for supporting the belly and back at the same time.I'm dying to roll onto my back, so having a little cushion there to feel like I am without actually doing so is so helpful.This pillow does not take up much room and is the perfect size for me (4'11").Glad I got this one!

This is a great pillow!It doesn't "smush" down to a small bundle like some down pillows will.With very little effort, it forms to fit perfectly beneath my head and neck and doesn't go flat. My only mistake in purchasing it was buying queen size.I should have bought regular because my pillow cases are a little tight.
